In support of the new Netflix series, Stranger Things 4, Gotham Films was tasked to coordinate the aerial portion of this massive marketing campaign!

Redbull's F1 Race To Miami!

When Red Bull calls, we answer. With Miami hosting F1 Racing in 2022, the Red Bull F1 wanted to make a big splash with “Race to Miami”. Red Bull Media House worked with us to create the opening sequences of their short film. The Gotham Films team provided them with our helicopter, pilot, K1, and RED Monstro VV along with our Nightsun searchlight to capture the F1 car navigating the NYC streets and bridges at very high speeds. It’s always exciting to work with Red Bull!

Filming The Empire State Building's Annual Holiday Light Show 2020!

Once again the Empire State building turned to us to capture their annual Holiday Music - to - Light show in New York City! The 2020 show hears Carrie Underwood and John Legend joining for a duet of “Hallelujah.” As usual, we shot the show with our ShotOver F1 gyro-stabilized gimbal mounted on our venerable AStar B3 helicopter.

Aconcagua H145 Landing

With the ability to take our smaller gimbal, the Shotover F1, as excess airline baggage when traveling, our tech Mike Isler flew to Argentina to assist in capturing this momentous occasion. Working with Productions Autrement Dit and Airbus Helicopters, along with local helicopter operator Helicopters.AR, we had a great team in place.

Shotover HAMMERHEAD Array and 12K Aerial Filming

In December 2017, Gotham Films took delivery of its HAMMERHEAD. The Gotham HAMMERHEAD system is a modification to the Shotover K1 gimbal, making it possible to mount three RED DSMC2 or ARRI Alexa Mini cameras. Having three cameras aligned in an array makes possible incredibly high-resolution filming.
